Tail Waggin' Wednesdays is an engaging and educational youth homeschool program that combines the joy of animals with interactive learning. Our program is designed to foster empathy, responsibility, and a lifelong love for animals in young learners.

  • Pet Themed Classes

Engaging sessions are designed to explore various aspects of pet care, behavior, and advocacy. Each class covers a different pet-focused topic, ensuring a comprehensive and fun learning experience.

  • Animal Science

Guided by experts in the field of Animal Science and Behavior, students gain hands-on experience and valuable knowledge that bridges the gap between understanding and practical application.

  • Creative Expression

Through hands-on activities such as pet portrait painting, DIY pet toy crafting, and pet-related experiments, participants actively engage with the subject matter and apply their knowledge.

  • Community Building

We provide a safe and inclusive space for young animal enthusiasts to connect, share their passion, and build friendships.

  • Expand Life Skills

Participants can develop skills such as communication, teamwork, critical thinking, and empathy through activities centered around pets.

  • Animal Advocacy

Participants learn about animal shelters, rescue organizations, and participate in advocacy projects to make a positive impact on animal well-being right in our community.

Our curriculum is crafted by a team of highly qualified professionals, including a Certified Humane Educator, an Animal Behaviorist, and a Herpetologist. These experts bring a wealth of knowledge and experience, ensuring that this program is both comprehensive and engaging. In addition, we actively seek and incorporate feedback from a diverse group of professionals in the animal world to continuously enhance and update our curriculum. We also host esteemed guests within the animal science community, offering unique insights and perspectives to enrich the learning experience of our students.

FAQs

  • Tail Waggin' Wednesday is open to families with children of all ages who have an interest in learning about animals and responsible pet ownership. Each child, no matter the age, must be enrolled.

  • Not every class includes a direct animal encounter. While we strive to provide hands-on experiences with animals whenever possible, some of our classes are focused on the science and educational aspects of animal care, behavior, and conservation. These classes may involve discussions, lectures, experiments, art, and activities without direct animal interactions. We ensure that all our classes, whether they include an animal encounter or not, provide valuable knowledge and insights into the world of companion animals and their well-being!

  • We are not an allergy-free facility. Classes are held at our training facility, so there will be animal dander present. We also use peanut butter in our facility. And we do incorporate hands-on interaction with animals into some of our activities. Guardians are encouraged to inform us of any specific allergies their child may have.

  • We aim to provide most of the supplies needed for our activities. However, depending on the specific curriculum and activities planned, there may be instances where participants are asked to bring certain materials from home. We strive to keep any additional supply needs minimal and will communicate in advance if there are any specific items required. Our goal is to ensure that all participants can fully engage in our educational experiences without significant additional expenses.

  • Program A (11am), B (1pm), E(3pm) meet on the first Wednesday of the month. Program C (11am) and D (1pm) meet on the third Wednesday of the month. Each class is scheduled for 90 minutes. We intend to finish each class as close to the scheduled time as possible. However, the duration of the class might slightly vary, either shorter or longer, based on the number of students or the depth of our activities.

  • Classes that are rescheduled will be rescheduled to the following Wednesday.

  • If you decide to cancel your child’s enrollment, you can do so at any time. Simply email hi@everybodysdoggy.org and your child will be promptly unenrolled from the program. Please be aware that upon cancellation, your child's enrollment in the program's sessions, activities, and resources will be immediately discontinued.

  • Everybody’s Doggy is located at:
    120 N Main St
    Unit B
    Germantown Ohio 45327

Parking is available on the street or directly behind Everybody’s Doggy. Please do not park to the left of the blue parking sign in front of Everybody’s Doggy, as it is not our parking lot and you could be towed.

  • This is up to the comfort level of the family. Some parents/guardians choose to stay while others drop their children off. All children who stay must be enrolled.

  • Because we work with medically fragile clients, we have a strict sickness policy. Children who have been exposed to illness, or have symptoms of illness, are not permitted to come to class. The child, and everyone in the household, must be symptom-free (without the use of medication) for 24 hours before class. If a child comes to class with symptoms of illness or has been exposed to illness, they will be asked to leave immediately.
