Your learner can elevate their skills as an Everybody’s Doggy Certified Youth Dog Trainer with our specialized Trick Dog Training program. Building upon the foundational principles of positive reinforcement and foundational training methods from our Youth Dog Training program, participants will learn a wide range of tricks to have fun and bond with their dogs.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • While there are no strict prerequisites for the Trick Dog Training Course, participants are encouraged to have a basic understanding of dog behavior and training principles. Familiarity with positive reinforcement techniques and foundational obedience commands is beneficial. We recommend children be graduates of our Youth Dog Training Certification program. Our instructors will provide guidance and support tailored to meet the needs of each participant, ensuring a rewarding learning experience for all.

  • We recommend children ages 7 and older. Participants must be able to follow directions and behave safely around dogs and people.

  • Youth dog trainers benefit from leaving their dogs at home for class so they can focus on the material and receive 1:1 attention from the instructor while working with our trusted demo dog(s). Classes are intentionally brief, and the student’s time is better utilized without the distractions of managing their own pets. This maximizes learning efficiency, reduces interruptions, and allows students to learn information effectively. By practicing with their dogs at home after class, trainers can reinforce the learned skills in a familiar environment, leading to better retention and application of training techniques.

    If the participant would prefer to practice with their dog, our virtual program would be great for them!

  • These upbeat, fun classes use positive training methods that allow youth the opportunity to train and bond with the family dog. It’s a great confidence booster for the kids while providing a refresher course for the dog.

  • No, it’s not a requirement! We have a demo dog in class that students are encouraged to learn with.

  • We will provide a training pouch and clicker for your child to keep. We ask you to bring:

    • Closed-toe shoes.

    • A binder or folder for their curriculum.

  • We don't have a discount for multiple children, but we do offer the program on a sliding scale. We also have scholarships if needed. Every child in the classroom needs to be enrolled in this program.

    Each program has a limit of 5 participants. Classes are 45 minutes.

  • Classes have a minimum attendance. If the minimum number is not met, the learner will be transferred or withdrawn, depending on what the parent would like me to do. We keep classes small to give each participant our direct attention. Each class has a limit of 5 participants.

  • Please note that the enrollment fee is non-refundable, as it covers your child's participation for the entire program, enabling us to provide high-quality content and engaging opportunities. While the full enrollment price is $75, we offer a sliding scale so that you can pick a price that fits your needs.
